Mitake is a fruity, mellow, authentic sweet potato shochu brewed by Mitake Shuzo on Yakushima, a World Heritage Site, using carefully selected sweet potatoes (Kogane Senkan), white koji, and the island's famous water.
Origin/Ingredients: Yakushima, Kagoshima Prefecture. The brewing water and ingredients are named after the three mountains of Miyanoura, Nagata, and Kuromidake.
Taste: While the sweetness and aroma of sweet potatoes are present, the high-quality water makes it very refreshing, making it easy to drink even for those new to sweet potato shochu.
